Conjured by sister creatrixes @djmetime, @darlingdarling and @maggiehaze, Bass Witch brings empowering spectacles of light, fire and bass to aligned festivals and events. As a Coven, we exist to support and lift up those who are often marginalized from the stage and the dancefloor. Our events and performances seek to challenge boundaries and connect parallel worlds, while creating intentional safer spaces for our Coven and allies to dance and feel part of something beautiful. We invite you to tap into fiery feminized energy and surrender the power of Mother Bass.
Amanda Hobbs/Interstellar
Amanda Hobbs is a captivating performance artist based in Kjipuktuk / Halifax, Nova Scotia, known for her electrifying stage presence and ability to weave immersive stories into every performance. Drawing on a diverse background in ballet, hip-hop, musical theatre, and circus arts, Amanda’s work spans aerial acrobatics, dance, fire performance, and more. With an intuitive sense of timing and connection, she excels at creating dynamic, interactive experiences that resonate deeply with audiences.
Her performances are marked by a magnetic energy, blending mystery, emotion, and a touch of the unexpected. As a storyteller, Amanda has a unique ability to produce shows that are not just performances, but full journeys—capturing imaginations and leaving lasting impressions. Whether soaring through the air or igniting the stage with fire, she brings an undeniable spark and depth to every act, ensuring that each moment is unforgettable.
Amanda is co-founder at Interstellar Circus Arts, alongside Taylor Zupiter.
Euphoria
Euphoria is an experienced performer, dancer, and member of the Neo Novas Burlesque Troupe. She began her aerial circus journey in 2018 going on to perform and teach in the Atlantic provinces. She brings sass and ass to every stage she graces and every performance will be sure to leave you in a euphoric state.
Flame Fatale
Some like to set the world a light, some like to watch it burn. Meet the devilishly divine Flame Fatale!
Flame is a fire performer, burlesque artist, producer and costume designer. A rocker by heart with a love of many musical genres, her acts combine her passions for costumes, mysticism, movement and music.
Her fiery presence will ignite you, but be careful, Miss Fatale plays with real fire, and you might get burned.
Flame has performed with fire and burlesque for festivals including Groove and Base, St Jean Baptiste for the city of Racine, in Montreal’s iconic Wiggle Room and Cafe Cleopatra, along with private shows and smaller venues. Flame has produced shows starting in 2024, and is a member of Montreal’s Solaris Collectif fire troupe.
Gazoline
Gazoline is a scream.
You know this rage for life that too often stays inside, Gazoline embodies it. In their own gentle intensity, they chose the stage as an exploration of their freedom and intimacy. They stir together dance, circus, drag and burlesque, confronting the limits of categories.
Their art is always political, uplifting, confronting and arousing. They draw their aesthetic in underground culture, queer culture, punk and clubkids cultures. All their creativity is based on the exploration of those vast universe, without codes, without taboos or limits. They know the joyful pleasure to play with gender norms and expectations. Their captivating, sincere and ambiguous attitude will make you doubt your greatest certainties.
Gazoline exist on Montreal’s stages since 3 years and they always bring fire energy. The anger of Gazoline mixed with their intense desire to live ignites this irresistible and powerful fire that will burn your eyes, without you being able to look away.
HilaryKate
HilaryKate started pole dancing in 2009 and never looked back! After moving back home to K’jipuktuk/Halifax in 2018, she started to explore other circus disciplines, including acrobatics, lollipop lyra, and contortion. HilaryKate has performed and competed internationally, but has had the most fun performing at festivals.
You can also find HilaryKate as burlesque performer, Lola Pop. A tantalizing tease with a twist, Lola Pop blends the grace of a seasoned pole dancer with the sparkle and sass of burlesque. With a mix of athleticism, artistry, and playful mischief, Lola’s acts combine strong musicality and comedic relief, with a dash of unsettling disturbia.
She can’t wait to bring her energy back to the Forest!

Jake Jockerson
Jake Jockerson (He/Him) is a Halifax-based multi-talented performing artist, specializing in many fields such as Burlesque, Gogo Dancing, Flow Arts, Fire Arts, Costume Designing, and Theater/Play. Jake is a core member of an award-winning troupe known as Atlantic Boylesque, has been nominated for Best Dancer for Best of Halifax 2024, and is a Headline Performer for Montreal’s Bagel Burlesque Festival. Inspired by contemporary music, art, dance, the flow arts, and all things nerdy, Jake brings his performing arts to a level never seen before.
Kid Cinder
A little bit wacky theater kid, a little bit daredevil, Kid Cinder is 100% likely to delight you with fiery finesse! Discovering object manipulation in 2011 while watching hippies hula hooping at a rave, he dove headlong in and quickly began amassing skills.
As he learned all the things, his heart wanted to set stuff on fire. To that end he has studied under some of the best fire eaters, breathers and manipulators in the world and has developed an impressive catalog of skills that leave audiences amazed. Kid Cinder is excited to share his fiery fascination with Future Forest.
Kineta
Kineta is a dynamic performing artist specializing in silk fan and hoop manipulation. No stranger to the world of performance art, Kineta has taken many years of formal dance training including ballet, jazz and lyrical but truly found her flow once she added silk fans and hula hoops to her movement. With a passion for both flow arts and dance, watch as Kineta combines graceful movements with rhythmic motion, creating stunning visuals with a hypnotic fusion of elegance and energy that will transport you into a dreamlike world of fluid motion and kinetic art
Lady Corbeau
The Lady Corbeau is an Halifax based Burlesque dancer. She is a BOARD MEMBER of the ATLANTIC BURLESQUE FESTIVAL CO-OP, co-produces NEO NOVAS BURLESQUE TROUPE and a solo producer. She has performed on stages throughout the Maritimes, Ontario, Quebec and New York City.
Blurring the lines between classic showgirl and comedic pop culture references, she is always bringing sexy and, OR strange to her audiences.
Lady Magpie
Born at the crossroads of theater, dance, and burlesque, Lady Magpie stands out with her meticulously crafted and surprising costumes. Vintage treasures collector and glamorous tinkerer, she weaves stories into each of her performances—hand her a microphone, and you’ll understand why she’s called Magpie!
Having graced burlesque stages for nearly 2 years and drag stages for just 10 months, it’s not her age but her maturity that will captivate you. As the drag daughter of Gisèle Lullaby, she embodies the legacy of her lineage with grace, elegance, and finesse.
Laura Selenzi
Laura Selenzi (she/her) is an accomplished performer, producer, choreographer, and instructor. She is the owner of Serpentine Studios Inc., creating performance opportunities for artists since 2007. Specializing in Bellydance, Fire Arts, Stilt Walking and Flow Arts, Laura has performed all over the world; from Toronto to Turkey and India, to Austin and Las Vegas.

Whether mesmerizing with fire, dazzling with chameleon-level face paint skills, or bending the laws of physics with object manipulation, this performer doesn’t just entertain; she ignites. Every spin, step, and smoulder is backed by intention, training, and a whole lotta love.
A beloved fixture at festivals across Maritime Canada, PenDragon has illuminated stages at events like Future Forest, Electric Pines, Truro Pride, Underground Love Affair, The Mosh, Thirst Trap Ravers, East Coast Emo Night, and the Atlantic Sex Show.

Petite Luna & Sol
Mariah (Petite Luna) and Alaya (Sol) rise in love with movement. They met in residency with Momentom Collective 6 years ago in Nicaragua. After performing together at Envision they continued to travel the world. While tending the land Mariah and Alaya continue sharing their passions for circus arts to each community they touch.
These Two wonderful circus artists specialize in partner acrobatics and flow arts. Trained in yoga, contemporary/contact dance, qi gong, capoeira, parkour, aerials and fire performances. They bring a fusion of these styled embodiments to their performances.
Scarlett Rose
“Scarlett Rose is a multidisciplinary artist from Kjipuktuk/Halifax, Nova Scotia. With just over a decade in the local entertainment industry, she has developed and performed hundreds of acts with numerous agencies across five provinces. From sold out stages to small community events, Scarlett highlights the importance of play and the joy it can bring to audiences young and old.
Making the best of her background in dance and theatre, Scarlett’s first forays into circus arts have since expanded to include multiple circus disciplines, fire, Burlesque, GoGo dance and character work. Known for her dynamic and energetic style, Scarlett transports her audience to new worlds regardless of context and apparatus. “

Something Els is a multidisciplinary artist based in Kjipuktuk Halifax, NS. This petite powerhouse has been rocking stages at Futures Forest since 2017. With an eclectic mix of sass, sensuality and a little bit of chaos goblin, Something Els will delight you in the forest
Spinner ella
Spinner ella is a captivating performing artist with a unique flair for hula hooping and pole artistry. Her performances seamlessly blend strength, grace, and creativity, leaving audiences mesmerized. With a radiant presence and the most contagious smile, Ella brings joy and energy to every stage she steps on, making her a true standout in the world of performance art.
Tiny Orchid
“They’re not your typical house plant! A Tiny Orchid blooms in only the perfect conditions; a hazy low lit room filled with cheers, glitter and tassels twirling. Once you see their petals you’ll understand why this flower is so captivating. Water occasionally and tip often.”
Tiny Orchid has been captivating Halifax audiences with their burlesque since 2019. Their style fuses classic and neo-burlesque with a playful touch of drag. A proud member of the Neo Novas Burlesque Troupe, they’ve performed at the Atlantic Burlesque Festival, the Atlantic Sex Show and the Frisky Future Showcase.
Valerie Au Ciel
Maya has been training in circus and aerial arts and in the art of pole acrobatics since 2016, specializing in aerial silks, corde lisse, lyra, and acrobatic partner dancing. With a background in rhythmic gymnastics, hip-hop, pole dancing, and drag performance, Maya’s unique style combines technical aerial skills with dynamic, contemporary circus movement. In July 2018, Maya earned the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) in artistic gymnastics theory in Kamloops, BC, and has since shared their expertise, coaching students of all ages and skill levels at Lake Country School of Gymnastics and, more recently, at Capital Circus in Ottawa. Throughout their career, Maya has worked with aerialists across Canada, training and sharing knowledge with communities and circus training centers from New Brunswick to British Columbia.
Elizabeth Shevchenko began her circus, aerial arts and pole journey in 2021, training on the lyra as a fun activity in the park with her now duo partner, Maya Revezs and growing stronger through play. Since then, she has expanded her expertise by attending aerial classes all across Canada, from New Brunswick to British Columbia and by cross training with aerial hammock, straps, silks, running and handstands. Her movement style stands at the intersection of a background of 10 years in Latin Dance (with 5 of those being competitive, eventually reaching pre champ level), 3 years of synchronized swimming and a decade of yoga while her confidence is bolstered by years of piano recitals and community theater involvement. She is looking forward to February 2025 which she will be spending in India, completing a 200-hour yoga teacher training program to further deepen her knowledge of body mechanics.
X
X is the non-binary babe from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Exploring the limits of gender, expression, and creativity through high fashion visuals; X is a visual performance artist who uses drag to become the “them fatale” you see on stage. X is most known for their alternative approach to the artform expanding viewers understanding of what drag can be. You can find X hosting, producing, and performing in venues across eastern Canada with the bulk of their work being in the nightlife scene in Halifax. Either performing the night away at a rave or producing a fully fledge theatre performance, you never know what X will do next.
