Getting to the Forest
A 200-acre woodlot on the side of Little River, about 48 km from Fredericton, New Brunswick. Here's how to find us, and what to know before you turn off the highway.
There is no cell service on site. Download your route and save offline maps before you turn off the highway. Tickets are hardcopy only, so bring your printed ticket and a piece of photo ID. There is one ATM on site and no reliable card network, so bring cash too.
Getting here
From the highway to the gate
Head for Albright's Corner on Route 10. The last stretch is an unpaved forest road, so drive slowly and keep right.
- From Route 10, turn north onto 18 Road at the ESSO gas station (your last fuel and your turnoff landmark).
- Follow the road into the woods, keeping left where it forks.
- Continue to the festival gate. Drop the gate pin into your maps app before you lose signal.
Nearest cities
Fredericton is about 48 km west, Oromocto about 45 km southwest. Coming from further out: roughly 2.5 hrs from Moncton or Saint John, and a scenic drive from the Houlton and Calais border crossings.

Full hours in the FAQArriving with accessibility needs
Accessible camping and parking are central, near the Information Hub and First Aid, so you can park and camp close to everything. These sites must be reserved in advance through our tickets page, and quantities are limited so we can meet the needs of everyone approved. The site is backcountry with unpaved roads, and the Nest Stage sits down a steep hill, so reach out early at order@futureforest.ca and we'll help you plan. See the FAQ for full details.
The land
A forest with a story
Our home is a 200-acre woodlot on the side of Little River, bought from a logging company in 2017 and cared for as a permanent home ever since. It's old-growth forest, about 8 km from the nearest residence.
Future Forest is held on the unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik people. We gather here with respect, and we're committed to honouring Indigenous cultures and protecting the land that makes this possible.

Little River
Cool off in Nem-dit'qu
The festival runs along the side of Little River, known to the Wolastoqiyik as Nem-dit'qu. It is the heart of the site. The Nest stage hums beside it around the clock, the Deer camping zone lines its banks, and on a hot afternoon there is nothing better than drifting in the current. Birdsong and the bubble of the water are part of the soundtrack here.
River etiquette
- No soap or shampoo in the river, even biodegradable kinds. Save them for the showers.
- Pack out what you bring in. No littering in the river or along its banks.
- No glass anywhere near the water (glass isn't allowed on site at all).
- Skip loose glitter near the river. It harms the water, so go biodegradable and keep it away from the banks.
Everything we put in flows downstream, so keep Nem-dit'qu clean for the next person and the next year. Full details are in the FAQ and Survival Guide.

Once you're in
Three stages in the trees
Each stage is built into the forest, with its own sound system and character, spread across the site.

Set between four towering white pines on a terraced slope, a natural amphitheatre. Get close to the performers and the PK Sound system on the lower tier, or take the panoramic upper tier with room to dance. Platforms, swings and hammocks sit nearby, and video mapping lights it up at night.

Perched on a cliff over the river between the food and artisan vendors, and shaped like the Future Forest logo. Geometric light, vibrant colour and a powerful PK Sound system, with fire shows and aerial performances. Dance in the sand or wander the interactive art.

Down by Little River under an ever-changing canopy by @lunosol, on the state-of-the-art Void sound system, running 24 hours. Rest in a hammock, cool off in the river, gather at the fire pit, or catch morning yoga, the art gallery, and body-positive burlesque.
Camping
Camping in the backwoods
Most festivals don't let you camp under the trees. We do. Future Forest camping is backwoods by design: you sleep beneath the forest canopy, in the shade and the quiet, with the river and the music close by. It takes a little more effort, and that's part of the magic. Backwoods camping is included with every Weekend ticket.

Find your spot
Campsites are not marked. Walk the zones and choose your spot before you unpack, ideally in daylight.
Set it up
You may need to clear a few sticks or debris. Make it yours with natural materials from around you, gently.
Leave no trace
Pack in, pack out. Take everything when you leave, including any string or materials, and keep the forest as you found it.
Camping zones
Each zone is named in Wolastoqey, the language of this land.
Rabbit Mahtoqehs
Closest to the parking lot, so it is the easiest load-in.
Bear Muwin
On the left of the camping road, just past Rabbit.
Moose Enahkatahat
On the right of the camping road. Landscaped in 2024, it is now some of the most level camping on site.
Mouse Tuhkis
The quietest camping when the stages are running, under the old-growth forest.
Owl Tihtokol
Near the vending area and Prism stage. Lively, and noisy until about 4:30 am.
Deer Otuhk
Along the river near the 24-hour Nest stage. Bring earplugs for sleeping.
Frog Coqols
Rough and wet, with beautiful sites tucked in between, near the upper parking. Bring a headlamp.
Accessible
Central, near the Information Hub and First Aid. Reserved in advance via the tickets page.
WEX
Camping for work-experience participants (volunteers).
Parking & vehicles
Parking & reserved sites
Parking on the grounds is limited and paid, so we only keep enough to fit our capacity and the forest stays the forest. Carpool if you can. Every vehicle is searched on the way in.

Parking
Limited, paid parking on site. Carpooling saves space and money, so share a ride where you can. Re-entry is $10 per vehicle with an intact wristband.
Reserved Sites
Want to camp beside your vehicle or RV? A Reserved Site pass lets you park and camp together, with no long walk from the lot. Sites are unserviced (no power, water or septic), but this is the only zone where you can run a generator.
Camping with a vehicle
General backwoods camping is tent-only, no vehicles. Well-ventilated camper vans or rooftop tents under 20 ft can use Zone C Parking (separate purchase), or grab a Reserved Site to camp with your vehicle.
