Harm Reduction, Safety, and Risk Manager

Position Summary:
The Harm Reduction, Safety, and Risk Manager will oversee the Harm Reduction department at Future Forest 2025, ensuring all festival participants’ safety, well-being, and inclusivity. This role involves managing multidisciplinary teams, including Safety, Security, First Aid, Safer Spaces, Tea Hive, and Consent Kitties, while incorporating harm reduction strategies into event operations. The manager will bring extensive experience in festival environments, emergency response, security, and harm reduction to effectively design, implement, and evaluate safety measures.
Relevant Experience: Demonstrated background in event or festival operations, especially in safety, security, or harm reduction.
Emergency Response: Hands-on experience as a paramedic, first responder, firefighter, or similar.
Harm Reduction Expertise: Proven track record implementing substance-use safety measures, mental health support, and consent education.
Team Leadership: Skilled at managing and motivating multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure environments.
Security Operations: Familiar with crowd management, incident response, and collaborating with external stakeholders.
Technical Skills (Preferred): Comfortable using Airtable or other project-management tools.

Human Relations(HR) Assistant

Position Summary:
The Human Relations Assistant will support the Administration Department at Future Forest 2025 by focusing on employee engagement, recruitment, onboarding, and compliance with organizational policies. As part of the Administration Department, this role emphasizes fostering positive relationships, upholding Future Forest’s core values of safety, inclusivity, and sustainability, and contributing to the seamless execution of festival operations. This position offers opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the Administration Department, as it supports critical human relations initiatives.
Education: Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
HR/Administrative Experience: 1–2 years in HR or administrative roles, with exposure to event management.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to foster an inclusive, equitable work environment.
HR & Project Tools: Proficiency in HR software, Connecteam, Google Docs, and Airtable.
Confidentiality & Integrity: Demonstrated professionalism in handling sensitive information.
Preferred Assets:
Festival/Event Operations: Experience coordinating volunteers or supporting safety planning at events or festivals.
Future Forest Values: Familiarity with sustainability, inclusivity, and safety principles.
DEI & Conflict Resolution: Training or certification in diversity, equity, inclusion, or mediation.
Accounting & Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding CRA regulations for payroll/contractor payments and basic budgeting.
New Brunswick Labour Laws: Awareness of local labour regulations for employees, contractors, and volunteers.
Bilingual: Proficiency in English and French languages.
