Bass Witch Coven
@basswitchcoven is a femme-led collective at the intersection of bass music and performance art. Conjured by sister creatrixes @djmetime, @darlingdarling and @maggiehaze and supported by a community of wicked performers, Bass Witch brings empowering spectacles of light, fire and bass to aligned festivals and events. As a Coven, we exist to support and lift up those who are often marginalized from the stage and the dancefloor. Our events and performances seek to challenge boundaries and connect parallel worlds, while creating intentional safer spaces for our Coven and allies to tap into fiery feminized energy and surrender to the power of Mother Bass.
Seaborne Shufflers
Seaborne Shufflers are a duo of self-taught dancers performing shuffling, with a mixture of house footwork such as cutting shapes and hard hitting legwork like Melbourne style. Their dancing is upbeat and energetic, with swift, precise movements of the feet, and mesmerizing flow. Watching shufflers hit that steady house beat is truly satisfying. Their dancing includes choreography and freestyles. When they aren’t tearing up the stage or dancefloor, you can find them teaching shuffle workshops to beginner and advanced dancers alike.
The Jugglin Bubblers
The Jugglin Bubblers are a whimsical duo from Halifax Nova Scotia. These magical beings have been entertaining on stages and dance floors for a decade with their unique and playful Hat manipulations and Bubble art. From home festivals
like Future Forest to international events like Bamboo Bass and Suwannee
Hulaween , These two are sure to leave you charmed and amazed.
TroubleMakers
TroubleMakers is a multidisciplinary fire spinning duo that will lure you into a trippy vortex of flames and light. They have been performing locally and internationally since 2017, but most of the year you’ll find these two hiding in their workshop crafting circus props as LMFprops.
Come dance by their fire and let yourself get carried away by their playful complicity!
Aliencell
Alien Cell is a multifaceted and passionate artist. They have love for all arts and dreams to be a full-time artist/performer. Cell’s passions are fashion/costume making, creative arts such as painting, clay and graphic design, aerial hoop and flow circus, contortion, as well as go-go dance and burlesque. Every time they dance, they thrive to tap into flow and ecstatic movement. They want to radiate and inspire the beaming energy of letting yourself free. With a dream to perform for many years, they made their debut as a go-go dancer at Future Forest 2023. Showcasing they’re freak flow has left their heart beaming since. They have a confirmed burlesque debut performance with Lumen Lux Productions. They consider themselves to be a dark but colourful artist that is well balanced. They love to be scary and freaky, but they are all love and sweet on the inside of their costume.
Amanda Hobbs – Interstellar Circus
Amanda Hobbs is a performance artist with a flair for the dramatic, based out of Kjipuktuk / Halifax Nova Scotia. Her work is informed by a background in ballet, hip-hop, and musical theatre. She brings a delightful taste of mystery. Amanda brings a special spark to all of her performances.
DisloCait
This self-titled goth-cheerleader of circus has been captivating audiences since 2003. From black tie events to Burningman, nationally and internationally, this multi-talented powerhouse boasts a long resume of theatrical performances. Specializing in many different acts including aerial arts, dance, fire, hand-balancing, contortion – the list goes on.
Always managing to creep it real, she will be sure to fill your heart with amazement or – at the very least – all of your clothes with glitter.
HilaryKate
HilaryKate started pole dancing in 2009 and never looked back! After moving back home to K’jipuktuk/Halifax in 2018, she started to explore other circus disciplines, including acrobatics, lollipop lyra, and contortion. She also performs burlesque as Lola Pop.
HilaryKate has performed and competed internationally, but has had the most fun performing at festivals. She can’t wait to bring her energy to the Forest!

Hoopnotic Kait
Hoopnotic.Kait is a hula hoop artist and dancer. This unique being hails from a land where googley eyes and glitter reign supreme. She has a background in theatre which definitely gives her performances a theatrical twist. Her sultry mixture of movement and skill is sure to hypnotize her audience.
Kid Cinder – Luminosity Circus
A little bit wacky theater kid, a little bit daredevil, Kid Cinder is 100% likely to delight you with fiery finesse! Discovering object manipulation in 2011 while watching hippies hula hooping at a rave, he dove headlong in and quickly began amassing skills.
As he learned all the things, his heart wanted to set stuff on fire. To that end he has studied under some of the best fire eaters, breathers and manipulators in the world and has developed an impressive catalog of skills that leave audiences amazed. Kid Cinder is excited to share his fiery fascination with Future Forest.
Laura Selenzi
Laura Selenzi (she/her) is an accomplished performer, producer, choreographer, and instructor. She is the owner of Serpentine Studios Inc., creating performance opportunities for artists since 2007. Specializing in Bellydance, Fire Arts, Stilt Walking and Flow Arts, Laura has performed all over the world; from Toronto to Turkey and India, to Austin and Las Vegas.
Lola Loops
Lola is a passionate multi-disciplinary artist living on the unceded and illegally occupied territories of the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh and Musqueam Nation. Her love of movement came in the form of a Hula Hoop— It was there that she first established a space to explore her body, in spiral form. Her desire to explore and train further spun her straight into the realms of street and contemporary dance, along with forms of ritual theatrics, soft acrobatics and clowning.
Pushing the status quo from the ground up, Lola aspires to weave stories that are meaningful and vulnerable with her signature touch of silly and sass. With over a decade of performing and facilitating workshops locally and internationally, she is energized by her quest to break norms and turn heads, all while exploring new styles of movement and utilizing them in her quest of self-expression.
Mizz Anthrope
Mizz Anthrope is a dynamic circus artist renowned for her captivating blend of aerials, contortion, and fire arts. With a flair for thrilling performances that push boundaries, she leaves audiences spellbound with each act. Co-owner of Luminosity Circus, Mizz Anthrope infuses every show with a spark of magic to create an unforgettable spectacle. Get ready for an enchanting experience as she sets the stage ablaze.
Mizzbecks
Mizzbecks, a mesmerizing aerial and movement performance artist, raised in Halifax N.S. and currently resides in Montreal QC. With a specialization in aerial silks and corde de lisse, her breathtaking routines blend grace, strength, and innovation. Whether accompanied by her signature parasol or in freestyle movement, Mizzbecks never fails to captivate audiences. Beyond her captivating performances, she effortlessly juggles numerous roles, often seen whizzing by with a clipboard in hand, showcasing her versatility and commitment to her craft and community.
MyrrhCat
With multiple teaching credentials and over 7 years of circus training, Myrrh Cat is an Aerial apparatus instructor and circus performer who began her performance arts journey in 2017. Myrrh Cat also has a background in fine arts through NSCAD University that she incorporates into her creative processes, through (usually and most desirably to her, ominous) story telling characters, high contrast costuming, and set design. Myrrh Cat has been developing a well rounded performance style through aerial circus, partner acrobatics, dance, theatre, and pole dance.
Delving into creative research with nontraditional aerial apparatus and personal movement style, MyrrhCat’s work is an investigation into the omnipresent inspirations found particularly in non-conventional innovations – the processes we might not initially value or consider to look at more closely, the dark crevices of our psyches, and the most feared invisible corners of the unknown. Experienced in collaborating with artists across multiple mediums and disciplines, she is passionate about creating provocative productions. MyrrhCat entices her audiences with hypnotic showmanship, she gets freaky and weird, morphing from one crepuscular character to the next.
PenDragon
“PenDragon” (she/her) is an Indigenous/2SLGBTQIA+ flow artist who utilizes face paint and props to create unique characters that engage the audience in an immersive world of artistry and movement. Blue Collar by day, Chameleon Extraordinaire by night, she is a multi-faceted and multi-prop performer who can bring sugar and spice to any stage!
Performing for Festivals like Electric Pines and Thatch Island, she has also appeared on multiple stages in venues across Halifax and Nova Scotia, including Truro Pride, Underground Love Affair, Emo Night, Future Spring & Winter, and the Atlantic Sex Show!
Thrown into the festival & rave scene in 2013, she has spent 8 years offering Harm Reduction, Consent Education, Safety, and love for all things weird and wild in the community.
Rae Fatale
Movement Artist, Muse, and Creator – She is versed in taunting as well as teasing… and she is the definition of ‘if looks could kill’. It all started with self expression through her main artistic vessel; her body. From modeling to exotic dancing, to burlesque – Rae Fatale is a multifaceted visionary and she moves with a purpose.
Rosie Blooms and Babette La Biche
Delightful, dramatic and occasionally delusional, Rosie Blooms digs into her strange feelings and fantasies and presents them for the world to see and judge… while also taking off her clothes. She has been performing burlesque in Halifax for 5 years and is influenced by her background in musical theatre and storytelling. She thrives on applause and dropped jaws; watch her bloom before your eyes!
Scarlett Rose
Scarlett Rose is a multidisciplinary performance artist from Kjipuktuk/Halifax, Nova Scotia. With over a decade in the performance art space, Scarlett has curated unique and memorable experiences for audience all over Canada’s east coast. Practicing disciplines such as burlesque, dance, and flow art, she brings to each her vibrant and sultry style leaving audiences captivated. A familiar face at Future Forest since 2016, she is excited to make her return to a place and people she calls home.
Something Els
Something Els is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Halifax NS. She’s been on stages since she could walk and feels it’s her purpose in life to spread joy through movement. On the ground or in the air, she really is Something Els
TYSN
TYSN Tonic (he / they) is a Gogo /Boylesque / Pole performer and coach based in Halifax/Kjipuktuk – NS. TYSN began pole dancing in 2021, unlocking an unshakable passion for sexual self-expression. Since his debut, TYSN has established himself as a powerhouse performer with Atlantic Boylesque, paved his way through clubs as a Go-Go boy, and placed 3rd for Sensual Amateur in Skripped Down, Toronto’s loudest Erotic Pole competition.
Zupiter Circus Arts – Interstellar Circus
Zupiter Circus Arts is a high energy, electric performer that is thrilled to be returning to the Forest yet again this year. Her diverse range of performance arts capabilities include aerial arts, flow arts, and dance with a strong focus on bringing creativity, costuming and creating life though movement to the forefront.
